I had the distinct honor of being invited to present at the first ever Concept-Based Learning Conference in China. After my experience at presenting at a Concept-Based Conference in Singapore, I modified my approach. For my presentation in Singapore, my presentation focused on physical educators. This time, my presentation was geared more towards classroom teachers., It was my intent to foster the understanding and confidence for classroom teachers to reach out to PE teachers and other specialists to create trans-disciplinary units through transfer of concepts and skills.
This breakout session was attended by a small group, but we had some v

ery meaningful discussions about what wee have done thus far and how we can begin the process of creating multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and trans-disciplinary units. There were educators from early years to secondary school. This range of knowledge and experience drove the discussions.
Many of the participants are interested in continuing to collaborate and share ideas regarding what we are doing. I plan to collaborate with one of the participants on a track and field unit that utilizes mathematics and physics. Stay tuned...
